The Breakdown

What the trip costs

Working figures

The line items below are working estimates while we finalize travel and lodging contracts. The $80,000 fundraising goal is firm. We will publish the confirmed breakdown here as soon as it is locked.

Fundraising goal$80,000

Lodging is the single largest line because the tournament runs during Quebec’s Winter Carnival, when the city is at its busiest and rooms are at their most expensive.

What This Means for Families

No player left behind because of cost

Team Maryland families already carry the year-round cost of AAA hockey. The nine-day tournament in Quebec brings significant additional costs that our regular season registration fees do not cover — tournament registration, round-trip travel, ground transportation, lodging, meals and equipment.

Every dollar raised directly reduces the financial burden on our players’ families and helps ensure that no player is left behind because of cost.

What a Gift Covers

  • $50 — a team meal for one player
  • $250 — a night of lodging
  • $500 — a player’s travel apparel
  • $1,000 — a share of tournament registration
  • $4,700 — one player’s full share of the goal

Illustrative amounts based on the estimates above. Gifts are pooled across the whole team, not assigned to individual players.
